Our Managers

Oscar and Susan found the perfect place at Sequoia Lodge. They have been working as a couple for many years and feel very fortunate to be able to work and live here while doing something they both enjoy. They are here at Sequoia Lodge to provide the best hospitality service to all our visitors while they stay in our Lodge and enjoy its surroundings.

                                Welcome to  Sequoia Lodge

A 14-room quiet  Lodge at only 3 miles from the small-town of Kernville  located 42 miles (68 km) northeast of Bakersfield, at an elevation of 2667 feet (813 m) , California. We offer Indoor Comfort for the Outdoor Lifestyle with tastefully furnished rooms......and when your active--or not-so-active--day is done, you'll return to the comfort of your own 'tent', complete with bed, shower, kitchenette, free wi-fi, and a spectacular views and access to  Kern River beneath you!

We are in the southern Sierra Nevada, in Kern County,  just steps from the Kern river, Kernville has a large tourist industry centered on the white water rapids of the Kern River. While white water rafting is the main attraction, one can also enjoy mountain biking, rock climbing, and other outdoor activities. Fly fishing is also popular; in particular, the golden trout is highly sought after for catch and release fishing. Downtown Kernville has an Old West look and contains a number of restaurants, antique shops and motels. The Kern Valley Museum houses a collection of historical items and displays. The nearby Kern Valley Airport is a popular general aviation destination for pilots, with on-site services including riverside camping and restaurant. The Needles granite formations about 25 miles toward the northern end of the valley are visible from some higher elevation locations. 30 miles of The 100 Giants trail.
